1.  Identify your team

Start the process of selling your home by identifing your team. The success of your home sale process will be set by the team you put in place.  Choose a real estate broker and lawyer that you feel will offer the best possible advice and guidance as well as best represent you and your family’s needs.

2. Pricing your home right is critical

Pricing your home right is extremely important to selling your home.  Many home buyers are tempted to choose the real estate broker that offers the highest pricing recommendation.  When I price a home, I present all the factors I took into consideration, so that my clients truly understand the reasoning for the pricing strategy.

3.  Preparing your home for the market 

Once you have selected your home sale team and are comfortable with listing now its time to prepare your home for buyers.  You only have one first impression so make sure your home is ready.  There are many minor things you can do to prepare your home like decluttering, organizing, paint touch-ups, and cleaning up your green space.  Can you see the floor or important items like furnace and electric box are always good signs your home is ready!

4. Listing your home

From here, things move quickly.  I implement my marketing strategy, that includes different team managed events, for example buyer showings, open houses, and keeping you apprised of our progress.  All of these are coordinated with you to ensure your family is not inconveniently displaced. 

 

5.  Preparing to Close 

I assist you to prepare for the closing with tasks such as the buyer’s home inspection, buyer’s loan appraisal, if required, municipality inspection, and preparing to move so things move forward in a streamlined fashion towards the closing.
